Did you have the burning/stabbing before you started Evenity? I took 11 doses of Evenity with increasing burning/stabbing mid back. Finally after 11 shots I bailed. After about 6 weeks it felt better. I started Fosamax and only had 2 doses because the back pain came zooming back. I stopped that one as well and will start Forteo tonight. The pain was awful really upending my life. I still have some discomfort but more like a 2 or 3 out of 10 rather than an 8. Good luck and I hope you find a solution.
@sunny65 my last fractures were three lumbar. The pain was unbearable. I was crawling on the floor. I live alone and couldn't function: cooking, laundry and of those things were almost impossible. I stayed in bed and only got up to go to the bathroom, and getting out of bed was agony. I learned to roll.
A physical therapist gave me free Zoom instruction on movements I might be able to do, after awhile (this was during COVID). I tried to walk as soon as I could, even if a half block. I did tai chi on my own when I could. Moving a little as soon as possible helped, I think, in the long run.
My fractures were mid-April I think and in 6 weeks I was considerably better.
It is now 3 1/2 years later after Tymlos, a few months Evenity, one low dose Reclast. I still have pain off and on. I believe a lot of it is muscles coping with the shortened spine: they spasm.
But overall you WILL feel better. I know very well the agony you are in. Do you have help? If not I would hire someone: I wish I had even if I had to pay.
