Covid rarely if ever causes neurological damage. There is no scientific evidence that it does. Musical ear syndrome is a result of psychiatric issues mostly.
Remember that for such big claims you have to present medical evidence, references to articles which would explain mechanism of action on how a neurological illness is caused by the virus. If something does appear after or during Covid it's most likely a trigger not the cause. The cause is rooted inside our DNA most of the time.

Whether Covid caused the damage, or triggered a condition is immaterial. We are still dealing with the fallout. My neurologist believes it is the same as stroke or concussion damage. He does believe I can improve, but that brain and nerve damage are slow to recover.
I’ve been suffering with ear and eye issues for over two years. Taste and smell for me returned fairly quickly, but I have debilitating tinnitus, hyperacusis and hearing loss. I also have hyper sensitivity to light, and blurry vision. The combination makes me very dizzy and a normal life impossible.
I think we need to be careful of saying what is or isn’t true about another's experience. It is very real, and has changed so many lives in tragic ways.
Good luck to all, and hopefully better times ahead.
