If you search the PMR chat room you will find many threads on the topic of vaccinations causing PMR. I got PMR following an adverse reaction to the Shringrix vaccination. I have become convinced that it's not the vaccine type as much as it is your personal immune system. All vaccines energize your immune system and if your system has other challenges you become vulnerable to auto immune problems.
At some point you will realize that the cause is not the focus now, it's learning to live with it. This chat room offers great support, I hope you lean in and learn because everyone's journey is a little different.

The Covid vaccine has always made me poorly for at least a week every time so I will do everything I can to make sure I give my immune system a boost. In the past I have had real flu twice, Pneumonia twice and Pleurisy once. Since having flu jab not even a sniffle every year. I will have the flu jab at the same time as the Covid one. A few spare Pred ready in case I need them. Apart from PMR I am a fit and healthy woman but I know if I don’t have the boosters I could be in trouble
