Thanks for combining our posts...
I do know that Mayo has a major training facility for TIF at Rochester Campus. Johns Hopkins also trains so with these two powerhouses involved I assume it's a successful procedure.
It's interesting to me because it is less invasive, recovery is quicker and it does not have the downsides of Nissen/Toupet.
Have looked at Stretta (sp?), Link and a few others but don't know much about them...Anybody?
Have any of the others in this chat had any surgery for GERD yet?
Had gallbladder out also and my GERD did get worse afterward. Two GIs I have seen told me I was a good candidate for TIF...all I have for now. John

I read about the TIF procedure at the Hopkins site and was really surprised at the diet restrictions after the procedure.
“Drink clear liquids only for the first 24 hours, then drink full liquids for one week, then eat soft foods for one week and resume your regular diet during the third week, avoiding breads and meats for a month”
I have to have the Bravo PH test and wondered if this TIF is down the road for me. I will not assume it’s successful but I imagine it has a high success rate or they wouldn’t be doing it… I need to read more.
