I was put on Lyrica in 2013 450mg pd for chronic backpain and I have been reducing it for 9 months 25mg a time. Let me tell you the withdrawal symptoms are extremely difficult to endure. Not just the backpain increase but whole body pain and constant buzzing in my feet and very bad depression, anxiety, frustration, agitation and inability to relax. Also terrible cravings like nicotine but 10 times worse. I've completely stopped Tappentadol and found that easier. I spend half my days trying to stop the pain with voltaren gel and magnesium cream and back support belt and it's very difficult to stay positive but the brain fog is going away and my memory is improving and starting to feel like my old self again so this gives me the motivation to keep going and get off this medication. I don't know if it ever really helped my pain and the side effects were bad and I certainly wouldn't recommend it but I trusted that the pain specialist knew best, but he didn't. The other Opioids were way easier to stop.
