Has anyone had Covid, recovered, and had symptoms return a year later?

I had several nights of very poor sleep last week. I am sleeping better this week, but I still feel tired. I am still able to do my normal activities
I just don’t have my normal energy
I am wondering if my tiredness is long covid. It has been over a year. Has anyone else had covid symptoms appear after this time frame?

I still have some symptoms, assuming they are from covid, that occurred in Sept. 2023. My neighbor has severe lung issues going on 2 years now from LC.

I believe over 200 symptoms have been recorded as Long Covid, so I can imagine some are more quickly apparent, and connected to original Covid, than others. Though I had some still lingering a few months (still there 4 years 4 months later) re highBP/HR for eg, and lack of sense of smell, there is some research suggesting various vitamins/ minerals are deficient so depleted over months/ years from vit D, B12, Magnesium , ferritin etc etc. I am currently experimenting with B1 as I have read research linking it to my main post covid disability of postural hypotension. You could test for some vits/ mins levels or just self dose ( slowly with one vit/ min at a time then wait 2 plus weeks to introduce another…don’t be tempted with multi vits ( often the cheapest type that is least well absorbed, and ‘conflict’ with each other,a sort of bio ‘Top Trumps’)

I am struggling to find information on the timeframe of post covid symptoms returning after recovery. I have developed fatigue a year out and wondered if this has happened to any of you.

I have a similar problem after having covid, I had lingering symptoms and they began to ease up but I soon noticed they would return again. I was told I have long covid and it’s different for everyone. It sounds like you might have the same thing, are the symptoms you have similar to what you felt during covid infection?

Mostly fatigue. I can get lightheaded and have my IBS abdominal pain kick in. All of which I had during my covid. It took 3 weeks to disappear. Yes, some of the symptoms returned during the year but went away after a week or so. How long have you symptoms of long covid?

My neurologist said symptoms can reappear if you have been exposed/re-exposed to a/the virus. Deconditioning (lack of exercise), vitamin/mineral deficiencies and hormone fluctuations can also cause this.

I’m hearing you are fatigued, as if you have Covid and lost taste and smell. I would suggest having your Thyroid levels checked. This is done through a blood test. You may have hypothyroidism, which makes you very tired. I never had any thyroid issues and then suddenly I did. I take Synthroid and feel much better. I too lost my taste and smell in December of 2022 from Covid, at least that’s what my doctor is telling me. Good luck!

My symptoms were much like other people but I started losing weight a little bit at a time but it added up eventually, I totally believed that I had a over active thyroid because most of my symptoms were exactly the same, I was tested several times but nothing was found, my symptoms continue to come and go so I have weeks of suffering from palpitations, hot flashes, poor appetite and lethargic and then it calms down for a number of weeks and I almost feel like my old self. I think that this covid virus is very complicated and will probably not go away any time soon so we are left with the choice of protecting ourselves or not, either way it’s not leaving and it’s still reinventing itself to whatever it wants.
