@mrainne There are 9 grams of protein in 8oz of Costco Chicken Bone Broth with 95 mg of sodium with no potassium. I mix it with Swanson Chicken broth with very little sodium and potassium. It's a nice way to get the extra protein with some sodium, which we all need anyways. At any event, always talk with your dietitian first to insure it is a right fit for you.

@collegeprof I haven't had bone broth before, but next time I see my dialysis dietician she will be queried about that. It sounds like an interesting way to introduce more protein.

@nscappa It's hard to commit religiously to the renal diet, isn't it? I bet all of us have fudged a bit on the requirements at one time or another. I admit to doing that, but really try to keep it in check. For me, eating something on the no-no list is so appealing, and then when I do eat it, is is not as tasty as imagined! Go figure.
