@tuckerp

I have wondered as a reason for PMR if it doesnt effect those a little more high strung. OCD, Type 1 personality, various other tags for our kind of people. Probably not but being anxious is a way of life for me. Years ago I lost my job, was starting a new business, I had kids in college, just regular stuff we put up with in life. But I became so anxious that I could barely function. I dont think it takes much. Someone on this site posted a quote from Mark Twain. "I know worrying helps because none of it ever comes true. " If that doesnt fit our kind then I dont know what does.

You're right, Tucker, imo. I'm married to a guy who can get unnerved, etc., but does not have an anxious bone in his body nor do his *11* bros and sisters. Yes, 11, incredible...
It's just not in the genes. And there are some with obsessive personalities in that group, but none of them are anxious it the way that I know I am and you may also be.
My dad was not anxious and neither is my brother. But my mom was. Guess that sparked it for me, but who knows.
I feel you. You certainly had every reason to be stressed. Unfortunately, due to factors beyond your control, anxiety kicked in and it's a monster that can control your life like nothing else. Thankfully you got thru that and hopefully your anxiety is better. I love that quote by Twain. Yes, a 100% fit.

Love the Mark Twain quote—-100% me! 😂
