Thanks for finding this. I once tried to explain to a physician my opinion of expressing a qualitative phenomenon with quantitative means and he was downright rude, presumably because my opinion threatened a cultural truism. Great pain is symphonic, rarely if ever silent, rumbling in the bass register when not shrieking with penetrating peaks, and perceived over time defying enumeration. Not Bach, but a troupe of monkeys clattering about the orchestra pit. Numbers, however, are a fiction of the business model, and I have never bothered to express an opinion until now.
Never mind the pain. Tell me about the book you have written or will write with your beautiful style.
And what you may think about Schubert.
Thanks for your Thoughtful and entertaining comment!

Love it!
But, where's 11?
Doesn't this one go to 11?
I guess 11 would be death.
Which (I hope) takes us back to Zero?
