@sue417 let us know if these side effects resolve. Mine ended after a month . Did you hydrate and have a slow infusion? This is your third year? Do you even need more? (My docs say 3-5 is the limit.)
Hi
Yes I was told 3-5 also. But I am done I am not doing this again. What makes me angry is they order these but don't give you a follow up appointment to check on you or do bld work to see if it's dropped your potassium or sodium. I also got depression and bad anxiety attacks. My naturopath has helped me out so hopefully symptoms start to subside. What a nightmare I felt crazy
I had a Reclast injection six weeks ago. I am still having nausea and dizziness, as well as neck and back aches. My doctor suggested I take the anti nausea drug ondansetron, which caused constipation.
Has anyone had long lasting effects side effects from Reclast?
Hi
My first 2 infusions went well. My third one has been a nightmare ended up in emergency 5 days later severe burning in the stomach, naseau, depression, panic attacks, fatigue. It's been a nightmare getting help. My naturopath has helped me. Went on 5htp for depression taking an electrolyte powder . Starting to feel better. That drug can mess with your sodium and potassium. My sodium was low after injection. Let's say that's the last one I will ever have.
My first Reclast infusion is tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. I am very sensitive to side effects so wondering if a infusion is a good idea.
One year between therapy. Will that include side effects lasting longer?
Hi
Make sure you hydrate the day before with gatorade the new one has less sugar or roar is a good one. I did 2 the day before. Take a tylenol the morning of. Drink another electrolyte drink the day of. I took one to my infusion. I didn't have side effects my first two. Just a mild headache. Hope it goes well. Make sure they do the drip over 30 minutes slower is better
more info than my physician gave me. Thank you
Hi
This is what my pharmacist told me to do. I always talk to the pharmacist because they know better
That is a brilliant idea! Thanks for the tip, it’s greatly appreciated
I have had 5 Reclast infusions. The only side effect I had was a headache and fatigue. I am sorry to hear that others are experiencing worse side effects. I just make sure I am not hydrated before the infusion.
