I'm scheduled for an MRI fusion biopsy Monday morning August 5. I'm in the Tampa/St Pete, FL I'm surprised that in this area no one has an up and running proton therapy center though Tampa General and Moffit are well on the way to building one. Still, both are looking at next year (2025) to open. All the very best to all our members/readers!

@kmat Hi, just found this thread and am a new member. I just underwent my first fusion biopsy this morning and have made it through fine. The dr. did everything through the rectum, as opposed to making a separate incision into my perineum, a great relief for me. I did find more after effects with this procedure, such as much more burning, slowed, and frequent urination. I am on an antibiotic for 3 days and AZO, which stops these aforementioned effects. It's harder to sit for more than 15 minutes since the instruments really stretched that area, so I'm using a cold pack every few hours. Drinking lots of water, taking Tylenol for pain every 4 hours, and resting today. Results will be in 2-3 weeks.
