I have used peppermint and it has helped. However, peppermint does seem to aggravate acid reflux.

Might want to look into ginger and also fennel.

from Web MD:
Are There Health Benefits to Drinking Fennel Tea?

Relief From Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Fennel has antispasmodic and gas-relieving effects that make it an effective treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In one study, fennel combined with curcumin significantly improved symptoms and quality of life for people with IBS over a 30-day trial.

my note: Curcumin is from turmeric. Turmeric and ginger are closely related plants.

If you ever eat Indian food...at the end of the meal they have these seeds as a digestive. Those are fennel seeds. Taste a bit like licorice. They often add candied licorice in the mix.

Sadly I will have to forego fennel benefits. I couldn’t possibly keep it down. 🙂
