@tinasims Oh my Tina - In this group we seem to keep seeing new "bugs" visiting our already unhappy lungs nearly every week.
This was a new one for me, so of course I went searching. What I found is that it is a fungal infection being seen more in the past few years - is it because out testing is better, or more people are affected? Here is a recent and helpful article:

I do not know whether it is always treated (with an anti-fungal, or only treated if you have currents symptoms of infection, or if the doctor will want another specimen to be sure it wasn't just a fluke - contamination of the sample from you saliva or the atmosphere.

Has the doctor contacted you yet about the result? Do you have an infectious disease doc on your care team? If not, this might be time to add one.

Would you let us know what the doctor has to say?

I actually had my pulmonologist visit today. He didn't seem to upset by it. I brought it up twice. He told me to wait and see what my next sample produces. He was more concerned about the plugs in my scan from Monday's CT. The spudem test came from my CF doctor. I saw him 2 weeks ago and have not heard from him yet. So many doctors!!!!!!!
