Gabapentin & MRI

Posted by angelark @angelark, Jul 12 12:20pm

Hello. I've been taking Gabapentin for a week, 900mg total daily. I am having an MRI on my lumbar spine in a few days. Will Gabapentin interfere or "mask" anything that might otherwise show on the MRI?
Thank you in advance

I took it for a while for swelling of legs, then went off it and my family thinks I went off it too quickly, as I had a seizure after... Don't think you will have a problem with it for your MRI. Good luck

Would be horrible without opiods!

Not to my knowledge. I have had numerous imaging done while in Gabapentin with no issues.
