Gabapentin & MRI
Hello. I've been taking Gabapentin for a week, 900mg total daily. I am having an MRI on my lumbar spine in a few days. Will Gabapentin interfere or "mask" anything that might otherwise show on the MRI?
Thank you in advance

I took it for a while for swelling of legs, then went off it and my family thinks I went off it too quickly, as I had a seizure after... Don't think you will have a problem with it for your MRI. Good luck
Thank you, best wishes to you as well.

2800 mg/day all in the last 3 weeks . Lumbar and cervical.
2 days ago had spinal surgery.
Hope you are recuperating. Thanks for your input.
Would be horrible without opiods!
Not to my knowledge. I have had numerous imaging done while in Gabapentin with no issues.
you're supposed to be weaned off of Gabapentin. how long were you on it? and what was the dosage?
