Taking my husband off the prednisone unfortunately is not an option at the moment. However, we are doing a taper and he's down from 80 mg per day to 17.5. We will continue to taper until he can go off of it, as long as he doesn't have a relapse. He's taking Actemra which is a weekly injection the FDA approved for GCA and it helps with the tapering of prednisone. It comes with its own side-effects but sometimes you have to weigh the risks vs benefits. I wish you well too.

I understand, we do what we need to do.
Doterra used to have a site that was called "everythingessential.me"...... it was a great and helpful site, but the FDA made them take it down. I used to use it almost daily, it was a great learning tool. The good ole FDA....UGHHHHH!
