How does it make you feel? My dad just started on it. So far, he’s been pretty sleepy and quiet. He had been losing a lot of sleep.

Let me put it this way. I was on 200 mg of seroquel and I was feeling pretty good. My illness started going downhill and I asked my psychiatrist if he could help me.
He raised my dosage to 300 mg at bedtime. A couple of days went by and I was literally bouncing off the wall and I had to be held up by 2 people to make it to my room. It was horrible like a nightmare.
So I asked my psychiatrist to lower it back to 200 mg. Then I started feeling fairly well.
Then I asked him if he could lower it to 100 mg. Since I wanted off it. It turned into an uncontrollable mess.
100 mg was not enough so we went back to 200 mg and that was just ok.
I couldn’t walk on 300mg at bedtime.
Now I’m still on 200 mg but I’ve had my depression increased with time. Today he prescribed something else to try. We’ll see how that goes. No matter what dose I was on I still got up at 3:00 am. So I’m waiting to see how the new med does.
I wasn’t getting enough sleep so that’s why I was on it. After a few months it stopped helping me sleep and I got up at 3:00 ate very little. Lost 7 lbs. but I fall asleep around 9:00 and then I sleep well until my 3:00 awakening. Some people say it was awful so it’s not for everyone. I’m still back on 200 mg. My best dose.
