I have never heard of central pain amplification?
What is it?
I had Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which started in the left foot but then spread.
15 years ago Mayo in Rochester knew what it was and how to treat it. Recently I’m getting bone & muscle pain & don’t know why?
Is that your symptoms?

@sommerreign I am curious about the difference between Centralization/Central Pain Amplification and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I have watched a video on Centralization and a PT recently explained it to me. I used to wonder if I had CRPS but providers are telling me it's Centralization (which as you know is happening in the brain).

Perhaps Centralization is more temporary?

It started with a stiff knee joint Jan. ‘21. Then severe pain in both knees and stomach. Flareups started Jan. 21 but I didn’t know what they were. The nerves are sending wrong messages to the brain. Pain messages. My jaw was moved when I had the jaw pain. My whole body is numb. Facial pain, hands, wrist, feet, legs, shoulders. Pain Specialist diagnosed Central Pain Syndrome or Amplification. Nothing I can do. I’m on medication,!use CBD cream for hands, use Lidocaine patches and cream. Try to walk and do exercises with my pt. Losing my hair quickly. I feel like I’m wasting away. My GP just told me recently to get a second opinion at Mayo in Rochester. We shall see.

Yes, I have bone pain and bone loss in addition to muscle pain. So hard to get people to understand it. What kind of doctor diagnosed your CRPS?
