Thank you....hopefully this will work for him too. They have him staying on Lipitor and ezetimibe wh8le receiving infusions. Does your insurance pay for it.

Ah, good question. My insurance does cover it after going through their appeal process when it was initially denied. The bulk of the charge each time is for the drug plus a charge for the clinic that administers it. Now my doctor submits a request for prior approval required by my insurance company that is good for one year. For some reason the drug works better when it is combined with the other medications we take instead of by itself. All the more reason to find a doctor you trust and keep asking questions. We all respond differently.
