@hump068 My brother is on blood thinner medication for the long term. He does not have CKD. I have a friend who had 1 episode of Afib 9 years ago and took Xarelto briefly. She does not have CKD. Your cardiologist is the best source of precribing for those with Afib that have other disease(s) associated with it. This may be the time where labs are quite important for you and to both your cardiologist and nephrologist.
