← Return to Peripheral Neuropathy: bad reaction to pain and antibiotic meds

After reading your post, I realize the peripheral neuropathy that used to be just slightly cold feet got very bad over the last six months and seems to be quickly progressing. Six months ago, I had three bad UTI infections, which is not common for me at all, and had to take several bouts of Cipro and Macrobid. I am now wondering if those antibiotics played any part in what I’m now experiencing?? Seems far-fetched but kind of sounds like what you experienced from a bout with antibiotics.

Very reasonable question, imo. I had severe reaction after one dose of an antibiotic last year. I’m still not sure if it’s the culprit. There’s a theory out there called being floxed. I have no idea of its validity. You can check it out for yourself. I forgot to mention it to my neurologist yesterday. For now, we are working on my B12 deficiency.
