Have you changed your diet post breast cancer?

My diet has changed in that I don’t eat out as much. Mostly now because after and during radiation therapy I began to have indigestion problems like acid reflux and nausea a lot. I ended up having to take something daily. Tried eating small meals and stopped eating out pretty much at all. I thought the food I was eating was good, mostly vegetarian and it was mostly bought from a food bar at an organic health food store. They make fresh salads and a hot bar that’s mostly lean chicken or fish. They list the ingredients. I eat mostly vegetarian for years now. But once I stopped going there and cooking my own food, I started getting better. I’ve been needing less of my acid reflux meds. I have slowly weaned myself off and eating whatever I want. If someone has recipes for homemade salad dressings, please share. Then again maybe I just needed more time to recover from the radiation therapy. I feel that radiation hurt my esophagus somewhat.

HI,
Sorry to hear about the side affects you have been having from radiation. Did you have a lumpectomy? I am just wondering what area the radiation was supposed to encompass.
How many rounds of radiation? I have had radiation twice to may left arm pit and the last time it really did damage to my muscle mobility & necrosis, plus upper lung lobe has some sclerotic evidence there. It was some type of hyper radiation "blasts" , 5 sessions and was not explained in its entirety to me (espec. the likely aftermath /side affects) Not HAPPY OR IMPRESSED W/ THE Radiologist & techs.
I've been tapped out with time due to family stress and demands for so many years now and am TRYING to put the focus on myself for a change...I haven't made this simple salad dressing in YEARS!!!
I used to... and will again now...: Olive oil 3parts (approx 1C) to 1 part balsamic (1/4 C) or Apple Cider Vinegar ..... your pref.
The following can be tweaked to yr taste: a abt. 3/4 tsp. of brown mustard, Tbl. sp of Honey , salt, pepper, what ever spices you like....Try to use organic main ingredients if possible.
