Embryonic Rhabdomyosarcoma

My granddaughter was diagnosed with ERMS at age 18. She went through chemo, and radiation therapy. She did proton therapy. They were not able to remove her tumor. It did shrink. She did her 3 month and 6 month but at 9 month they she has a small 2 cm area that lite up and it is determined to be the same cancer and they are saying they cannot remove this tumor either due to both her tumors were located near the pancreas and liver. We are searching for the right treatment for her.

@pberryot, I simply cannot imagine how difficult this must be to see your granddaughter go through all this. I'm tagging fellow members like @yenva @marysue1953 @tim59 @amydunn, who have experience with rhabdomyosarcoma.

@pberryot, is your granddaughter being treated at Mayo Clinic or other large cancer center? Does she have access to a support group of young adults living with cancer?
