Hi @uncbball. I'm tagging @sndi, @robertlclark, @oldkarl and @user_ch7b7e79 as these members have recently discussed their experience with spinal stenosis. Can you tell us a bit more about your condition (e.g., how long have you had it, when did the doctor recommend surgery, etc.)?
Spinal stenosis about 40 years. lots of cortisone shots. Made no difference. Not worth the effort. Now I have lots of cancers, amyloids, RA
my doctor keeps telling me that cortisone shots are the best and I want the epidermal shots So now reading about you I don't think I want them. But I'm so tired of my legs hurting, numb, tingling and this is every day.
Everything I have hurts all the time. Tingling, burning, aching, stabbed. I am also tired of it all. I know I have only a few more months to live, and Mayo really doesn't seem to care. I can only think of one cure.
Oh I'm so sorry you are going through this. Yea Mayo doesn't care and I feel the same way about the VA. I told them I don't want those shots and today they called and said they are setting up appointments for the shots see never listen to the patient.
Remember: These companies do not make money unless they do something they can charge you for.
that's right it's all about money and not the patient
How long do cortisone shots last? I have had epidernal shot for my back many time's. You just need a MIR to pin point the best placement exactly pin point with perside acterate percussion Last up to a good 6-8 month's Pain free. If you take care of your self.. Good Luck
