Replies to "If a Nissen Fundoplication surgery has collapsed after 8 years, can it be left like that..."
It hasn't collapsed yet - I'm preparing for when it does as he said in general the don't usually last more than eight years and mine's more than that. He also said that he would not advise another surgery as I'm in my 83rd year and it would be too risky. He's not presently answering his emails so I thought I'd ask on here.
I’d call your Surgeon for sure and let them know ! I’m surprised it hasn’t been any symptoms.
How did you know it collapsed then?
