Internal bruise like pain

Was wondering if anyone has had experience with bruise-like pain just below the bottom left rib. It can be pressed on without rib interference. Started with intermittent uncomfortableness when laying on left side a couple of months now. Now feel when up and moving around. Thoughts please?

Hi @kamommy, A dull bruise-like pain just under your left bottom rib is in the general area of the spleen. From my own experience, when my spleen was enlarged I felt a similar tenderness. Since your ache seems to be progressing it might not be a bad idea to schedule a visit with your PCP. They may suggest some blood work and also an ultrasound to check your spleen.
It may turn out to be nothing but there can be any number of health related that can cause an enlarged spleen from anemia, bacterial and viral infections, autoimmune or blood conditions. liver issues, etc..
If it’s bothering you enough to ask, it would be worth your peace of mind to have your doctor take a look, right? 😉

I had something similar last year for about 3 months. Eventually, it went away. If I had it now, I’d get it checked out.

No, but it hasn’t returned. I’m seeing a neurologist and rheumatologist now, but for unrelated issues.

I did a round f Oil of Oregano for 10 days. Helped a lot. A week after finishing I did another round (ground bee attack). It has been 99% gone since. Twinges every so often.
Saw dr who ordered a CT. He’s been on vaca since and no other dr at that practice could/would get back to me. So I took myself back to the hospital where the scan was done and requested my records. Nothing shows up.
An ultrasound or MRI was suggested by the author of the report.
Dr should be back in office this week.
🤷‍♂️
