Hi, Anne! My husband has this too, and I think it’s due to him taking blood thinners. I think he’s on an aspirin a day and blood thinners for his heart (I think he’s on a statin.)
Anyway, are you on blood thinners too? I know that eating a vegan diet or mostly plant based with lots of antioxidants can help with your blood as well, and then maybe you can ask the doctor to lower your dosages, if your diet can help fix things? I’ve always believed in using food as thy medicine. I do believe that in most if not all cases of illness…foods can help and heal our bodies. I’m not sure of your diet, but I would eliminate processed foods, sodas/fruit juices, alcohol and any other foods that you’re allergic or sensitive to. I’d also buy all organic and cut out all gluten. Increase foods that help the gut microbiome and have a large variety of foods, lots of leafy green veggies, blueberries, walnuts, a little dark chocolate! And make sure that you’re not spiking your blood sugar. Exercise more and meditate, too! For healing the bruises, maybe try cool compresses, arnica and/or CBD creams/lotions. Also, increase muscle mass with some strength training. Best to you!! Feel better!!! Mia 👍👍🙏🙏💕💕🌸🌸
Thanks Mia, I appreciate your suggestions! I’ve done many of the things you recommend. The changes in diet as well as other things helped change my struggle with sever pain from fibromyalgia. I’m doing much better. Although I still have some pain and fatigue about 1/2 the time which slows me down. I’ve got some pretty serious back issues so that’s my next hurdle. I’m receiving injections now but may have to do something more drastic to alleviate back pain. It all definitely slows me down at times. Regardless, I keep moving forward.
I do meditate, have for a few years now. I walk my dog everyday so that gets me out for exercise. I have an inversion table for my back and a good ice pack! I’m a pretty positive person and I know attitude helps with it all. I stay interested and educated in what’s best for me. We never stop learning!
