Slkanowitz: thank you for your response and recommendation to take omeprazole. After some research I read that the finding of the z-line on an EGD is a normal finding. Since mine said Z-line was regular (meant it was normal)? And since I’m around 5’10” in height a 39 cm is normal? If I read it right it’s people with “irregular” z-line’s that could have Barrett’s Esophagus? Thanks again for your response, this was helpful.

Yes, regular Z line = normal and 36-40cm is normal range for distance. I didn’t mean to recommend you take Omeprazole for the gastritis. You need to hear results from your GI Dr and follow his recommendations. I was only citing that as an example of potential treatment. Sorry I wasn’t more clear in my comment. Hope you feel better soon!
