I have post stroke Neuropathy. No one seems to address exactly what happened to my Neuro system, at all. Now, the Neuro system can go through changes, but no on is even establishing a base line! I don't know if what I'm experiencing are usual things experienced post-stroke, or not? And then rhings change!

Hi Janie
Don’t know if it’s the same, but about a month after my stroke I developed what my neurologist calls central pain syndrome or thalamus pain syndrome The entire left side of my body has burning, stinging pain, feels very cold most of the time
He said it happens to a small percentage of stroke victims
I have been treated with multiple pain meds, meds like anti depressants and anti convulsants( which supposedly work for some people with this problem),
medical marijuana, acupuncture, PT.. all with
absolutely zero results
I hope this isn’t your problem. My pain is the same all the time; hope yours isn’t and you find relief. You are first person
I have found on this site who mentioned post stroke pain. PS. My stroke was a result of undiagnosed
Polycythemia Vera, no other underlying medical conditions. Wish you the best
