I’m 14 months out from my first TKR, & it’s still very tight & stiff though I have good ROM. My surgeon says there’s nothing wrong, & about 10% of patients have problems like this. Not sure if that’s correct. I was biking about 10–15 miles a day, going to the gym, etc. But the feeling is annoying. However, I just had my second TKR in May, and that’s extremely tight as well. I used a different surgeon, but I’m hoping it will get better. I did all my exercises and continue to do them religiously, and I’m very active, not overweight, etc. both knees were done robotically, using the Rosa system.

Everybody is different, that's a given. With my tkr the infection left me with 2 more surgeries. One for a look see and a second to replace the tibia portion of the device. I don't have pain but regaining rom was never accomplished to my satisfaction, even after 2 manipulations.
Now, at 17 months post surgery my extension is good, but my flexion hasn't improved substantially. I must say that by my own physical therapy practice of going up and down stairs has helped, especially down. Given that I'm much happier now with just 10% more range. Good luck to all.
