Question for @sueinmn re: metallosis / cobalt level

Hi, I am new to the group and a moderator has added me to a discussion where you have contributed an information that was very helpful to me. I am interested to know how high your blood level of cobalt was before you opted for surgery, the revision of your hip replacement/s. Thank you in advance

To be honest it was over 10 years ago and I don't remember. And those records have aged off from my online patient account.
What I do know is that in addition to the high numbers of chromium and cobalt I was losing my hair, losing weight, had fatigue, groin pain, elevated thyroid- I was sick. And the cure was to get the metal out.

Thank you so much… that’s very helpful.

I was over 6 on both cobalt and titanium. Low grade fever. No energy. Just feel lousy 24/7. Then finally my groin started hurting.
