Yes, my knee is still tight above the knee. I have exercised and done all that I know to do. My surgeon said it was the quad and possible a bit of scar tissue. I’m 14 months post op and I’m not sure it will go away. I will keep working at it as it does hurt when I overdo things! Thank goodness my ROM is good! I do wear a band above the knee and that does help some! Also, ice, ice, ice. Good luck and God bless all the Warriors here!

I’m 14 months out from my first TKR, & it’s still very tight & stiff though I have good ROM. My surgeon says there’s nothing wrong, & about 10% of patients have problems like this. Not sure if that’s correct. I was biking about 10–15 miles a day, going to the gym, etc. But the feeling is annoying. However, I just had my second TKR in May, and that’s extremely tight as well. I used a different surgeon, but I’m hoping it will get better. I did all my exercises and continue to do them religiously, and I’m very active, not overweight, etc. both knees were done robotically, using the Rosa system.
