Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Wegovy, Ozempic, and Rybelsus. Semaglutide balances blood sugar (glucose) levels, suppresses your appetite, and promotes a feeling of satiety (fullness) by slowing the emptying of your stomach contents.

So, when stop taking medication, the appetitive suppression and feeling of fullness goes away.

It is possible to keep weight off, but long-term success requires other weight management strategies.

This article has good explanations and hints to keep weight off.

Thank you for the information. I am thinking of taking wegovy.

Good morning @gencha! I have been off Wegovy for about 6 weeks because my weight was at a standstill. I have gained 12 lbs since being off it. I hope you are doing well and don't have the weight gain.
