I have been on Trintellix 5mg for 10 days and now 10mg for 10 days. Usually I can tell if a drug is going to work pretty quickly. I have been depressed this entire time. The psych PA has told me 4-6 weeks, but usually I know by now if something is going to work. I'd appreciate any insight here.

I have been on Trintellix for about a year. Not sure if I’m on 10 or 20 mg.
After about 4 weeks of tapering up in dose, I started to feel like my old self again. Only medication that has worked successfully and consistently. Only problem is the cost since my insurance has a $160 copay. They do have a program through manufacture that takes off $100 per month.
One suggestion would be to get a medical test that shows based on your genetic makeup what anti-depressants or other medications like pain meds are best for you. Eliminate me a lot of trial & error. Good luck!

Was on 10 mgs for a year, when I hit a rough spot I increase it to 20 mgs to level things out with the doctors approval. Good luck

There are Solutions be patient. You got this !!!

Been on Trintellix for 1 year just had 4 days of horrible depression just wanted to sleep, talk to no one, not eat, no shower or brushing teeth, dreadful anxiety mood up & down all over the place. When I was on Wellbutrin xl and buspirone 10 mg for 18 years never had these issues but a year ago that combo quit working for me. so doctor put me on trintellix. need to get appointment with doctor.
