What Pool, water shoes do you recommend with neuropathy?

Recommend pool water shoes. I have tingling tight feet. I do walk well Outside use a cane or rollator sometimes. I am 82.

Hello @alliecatz68. Members are able to edit their post for a very small window after publishing it. If that window has passed, I suggest using the report feature to flag anything you'd like reviewed.

To do that you can:
- Click the ... in the bottom right corner of your post
- Click "Report Comment"
- Type why you are reporting (or what you want edited)
- Click Submit

This would be a way to privately express why you want a comment changed or edited, or if a comment contravenes Mayo Clinic Connect's Community Guidelines.

I just purchased a pair on Amazon after my friend did. They have lots of choices
I am 83. Very happy!

I find sandels with memory foam insoles very helpful in water areas. I have purchased Sheckers brand good. I get a sandel that has a wrap front over the toes and bottom of the foot with a strap that goes around the back of the foot/ ankle. I also try to find leather materials since they tend to fit more secure and hold up well in pool and lake/ocean waters. There are some other brands such as Columbia and New Balance that are nice. However, you need to try them on at the store otherwise you could end up in a mailing issue if you buy and have to return them due to a bad fit. Some times at drug stores that carry diabetic shoes/sandels you might find a good feel and fit. Ask the pharmacy for help here.
