Hello @zora0121, There are others here from Canada, but I am not. Generally having access to a larger teaching or research hospital can give patients the greatest confidence in their care. It's important to have a team that is familiar with treatments for your specific type of cancer. Not all NSCLC's are the same, and treatments need to be a good match for the specific type of cancer.
In Canada, do you have options to select where you are seen? Logistically, are you able to seek care at a selected location, someplace not too far away or easy to travel to?

Our current system is incredibly overburdened and will only get worse with the federal government increasing taxes for Drs. You don't get to pick and choose a Dr. You get assigned your Dr. At least for Cancer treatment.
I'm very anxious regarding my oncologist, he didn't discuss anything with me, staging, mutation. I tried to ask about immunotherapy he said we talk about that later. I asked about my prognosis. He searched his phone and told me with treatment 57 percent don't make it 5 years..
