i\I should add the following: The net result of" "operation" was that my wife now has SPONDYLOLISTHEIS never had before (xrays proof we have) and now the original doctor says "I can fix that with a new oblique operation." No thanks! Why another operation to fix a problem she never had before?

@anoyymous123 - Sorry for your issues! It appears you're in a bit of a box. You've a concern the docs aren't telling you the truth plus you're skeptical about what you're being told...Yet, you still have significant (likely) spinal issues that will only be improved with doctor assistance. That's a conundrum for sure.

I have a suggestion. Have you seen a physiatrist? This specialty is focused on pain origin and management. They are not surgeons so there is no tendency to see all problems being solved by surgery. Yet the physiatrist can read films, understand your pain experiences, and help diagnose cause-and-effect.

Have you tried that approach?
