I had my TKR Feb. of 23 had that exact same tight band feeling. I had difficulty recovering from the procedure and the band feeling has continued to stay with me even after MUA. My flexion varied from 84 to 90. I always had difficulty getting up from sitting never have been able to correctly go down stairs. I did have two falls, where my knee just collapsed on me. I Put PT on hold and began seeing a dr. of Chiropractic who looked at me as a whole person. She has expertise in frequency healing which helped me feel more energetic to the point I was going to the gym 2 ro 3 times a week riding a stationary bike and swimming. But my bend and the band feeling never left so I went back to PT and three weeks later I took a step in my kitchen and fell because my femur fractured. Yesterday I started on Celebrex to help with inflammation and Pain. Today it seems as though my swelling and pain is improving. I am keeping my fingers crossed, I never dreamed this journey would be this difficult. I soo appreciate hearing everyone's stories. I t has been so helpful.

So sorry to hear your femur fractured. Do you know what caused it to fracture?

I'm sorry for what you're going through SK.

I would find another specialist, not a chiropractor, to treat the whole body. These Drs usually include "Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation" in their title, and they are MDs, so much better educated and trained in whole body diagnosis than a chiropractor.

I think chiropractors are ok for otherwise healthy people with no serious spinal or skeletal problems. Chiropractors can't help when a patient is suffering fro osteoporosis of the spine, stenosis, scoliosis, or the myriad of spinal diseases.

I did see a Chiro when I was in my 40s and 50s and had no major back problems. Even though I workout every day now and have a strong core, my lumbar spine is a mess. I only trust orthopods and other specialized MDs to treat that condition, certainly not a Chiro. FWIW, just my experience.

Had my TKA in Oct 23. Best I can get on flexing is 53. Have the tight band “feeling” you spoke about. Specialist said my issue is due to scar tissue which will never go away…. I am allergic to titanium. Guess what my knee is made of??? Titanium!
