Hi Sue,
I hope you will be feeling better soon! I am on Zometa also after breast cancer and I have osteoporosis so it's helping that as well. After my first Zometa infusion I had 4 or 5 days of flu like symptoms and a lot of fatigue. In the pre infusion blood test my blood calcium was 9.3. After my 2nd infusion I was very dizzy, which lasted a few days. In that pre infusion blood test my blood calcium was 8.8, the lowest in the normal range. For my 3rd infusion, the pre infusion blood test showed that my blood calcium was too low, at 8.5 so they couldn't give me the infusion. I had skipped my calcium pills for about 5 days before that 3rd infusion because I ran out of them, never imagining that it could have such an effect on my blood calcium. I will never skip my calcium again! So I had to double up on the calcium for about a week and then my blood calcium went back up to 9.2 which is in the normal range. I was then able to have my 3rd infusion in May and it went fine, no bad reactions at all. Maybe the blood calcium level has something to do with our reactions? It's something you may want to discuss with your Doctor. I will mention that I had parathyroid surgery 3 years ago so the that could be a factor just for women like me. But I thought it was worth mentioning. Sending Love and Wellness wishes to you❤️

Hi
I have never heard of that brand name before. I've never had an issue with my calcium it's always been normal. They don't check my blood work after the infusion. I have a bone density prior to my infusion usually and bld work. Thanks for sharing.
