What Pool, water shoes do you recommend with neuropathy?

Recommend pool water shoes. I have tingling tight feet. I do walk well Outside use a cane or rollator sometimes. I am 82.

Columbia makes water shoes that look and fit like sneakers, but drain. If you walk in shallow water on the hard pool bottom, these are excellent. BUT, they do not come in wide widths. Sigh. If they fit your foot, these will offer excellent traction, stability, and support. columbia.com
Merrell makes a slip on/step with a closed heel that has a nice arch, but it is a harder material than my arthritic feet liked. Tolerable if I add socks.
Teva makes sandals with velcro straps that can be worn in a pool. I added PowerStep ball of foot cushions to mine, but they still feel hard.
Grand Attack makes a workout shoe that is waterproof that is a barefoot style shoe but with a rubber sole, so there's plenty of toe room. I wear these in a saltwater pool. These are talked about a lot on the Shoes for Neuropathy thread.
Birkenstock makes waterproof sandals with one strap or two in waterproof EVA. I have the one strap. I would prefer the two, but they only sell the medium/narrow width in the US in the two-strap style. I have arthritis, not neuropathy, in my feet and find these a bit hard for shallow walking.
I wear an AquaJogger belt around my waist (this brand supports the back) and do my walking/jogging/exercising in the deep water, with no issues about hard impact on my feet. But I need a shoe to safely walk up the stairs and onto the pool deck.
Here's a pic of the Grand Attack shoe in wide width.

I just ordered cheap ones on Amazon and they have been adequate - not much support but I wasn't looking for that - I just needed something with a layer of protection on the bottom of my feet, no pressure points on top of my feet and some grip so there is less chance of slipping on the deck

Can anyone please help me? I suffer from peripheral neuropathy and I am looking for water shoes that give me room for my toes, comfort, breathability, dry fast, slip resistant, and offer support. I just started Aqua Therapy and am looking for shoes to wear in the pool. Thank you in advance!

I have a pool shoe that I bought at Dicks Sport last year that give me the protection on the bottom of my feet , have a good rubber sole and stay on in the ocean. I also use them in my Tai Chi class as I cannot walk on hard surfaces. The name is DSG I bought size 9 but most good shoe store measure me as an 8. They slip on easily with a loop in the back of the heel. Good luck I hope they still carry them.

Hello @karleenhubley,

Thank you so much for your suggestion about water shoes from Dick’s Sport. I will have to look into these and have my foot measured to make sure that I purchase the right size shoes for my feet. I appreciate your help!

@JustinMcClanahan, would you be who I contact about a question in reference to my post? I would like to know how to edit my post. I’m a new member at Mayo Connect, so I don’t know how everything works here just yet. I appreciate any help that you can offer. Thank you.
