lindseyr24 @lindseyr24,

I would like to add few suggestions to this discussion;
- There are surgical communicators that work with surgeons to help keep the family up to date during surgery. Each surgeon has their own process for communicating with family members. Definitely ask surgeon or nurse about what to expect during surgery day.
- Bring your phone charger with you, if going be long day, you may need to recharge your phone.
- There are multiple green spaces that are nice places to sit if weather permits. Edith Graham Mayo Courtyard (by admission area), Joseph Courtyard , and Peace Garden. Stop at one of information desk and they can provide a map and directions
- The Chapel in Domitila area is beautiful place. There is smaller chapel in Francis building.
- There is a recently remodel patient cafeteria in Francis building that you can get food / coffee to go or eat there. Plus, multiple restaurants across street from Francis entrance. Most have takeout options you can pick up and take back to hospital.

I am at hospital every week doing volunteer service, feel free to reach out if have any specific questions about campus.

Here is flyer that has map of St Mary's campus, Do not get overwhelmed, there is always someone who can help you find your way.
