Welcome @irishbruno.
Good question. I'm tagging other members who have experience with seroquel XR. @book2075 @seeker619 @missyb57 @jbyrd @sylviaanne @jmbjar have you any suggestions for IrishBruno about the side effect of constipation?

IrishBruno, you may also be interested in joining this discussion https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/seroquel-for-anxiety-ptsd/ How long have you been taking seroquel? What have you tried so far to get the bowels moving?

Try Prune juice, dried prunes, dried apricots or dried peaches. With my
Cancer and pain medicines those work above everything, even Senna.

Irvkay312
My situation with bowel movements began with some anti seizure medications
years ago. In time, when Islet Cell Cancer mestasized to the Liver,
Spleen, Gall Bladder,, dried p GI and GU tracts, Senna and others were used
to no avail; however one mainstay was Prune juice, dried prunes--and
another two items that worked excellently were Dried apricots and Dried
peaches. Most likely at this stage of my cancer and hospice, most
constipation is caused by pain medications. The items noted, work best for
me.

irvkay312
@irvkay312 Nice to hear from you. Sometimes the natural tried and true products are still our best option. Best wishes and prayers are with you!

My situation shows that there is no one size fits all. Consider your age, blood deficiencies, health conditions, over the counter medicines and prescribed meds. then individually seek your problem through research or trial and error.

Prune juice did not work. I will try all of the dried varieties. Thanks.
