Please share this message with everyone. A big turnout will show that disability is no barrier to success!
Thanks!

Hey Scott!
Just wanted you to know I voted for you!

Thank you, Chris!
We're at the halfway point in the voting. I have no idea how it's going, since they don't post running totals.
Thanks to everyone who has voted. Keep it going!
I notice that my YouTube channel has some recent visits and some new subscribers, too. Hopefully, people find the videos helpful.
On to the second week of voting -- and to victory. (Who wouldn't want to support this guy?)
Voting ends today.
Thanks to everyone who helped. I even picked up some new subscribers to my YouTube channel.
The results will be posted in July sometime, 7/22, I believe. I'll keep you posted.
Being disabled and something of an old geezer, I don't exactly make a lot of top-10 contests, so this has been a great experience.
Thanks again!
My fingers crossed for you.
Jake
I am proud of you Scott for putting yourself out there. It’s challenging to allow yourself to be put on display. And then to be compared and contrasted, it’s not easy. My hat is off to you my brother. “Finish strong “!
Thank you.
I hope people understand that this isn't just an ego trip. I truly want to provide encouragement and hope to others who are dealing with traumatic life changes.
If I've learned one thing in the past 5-1/2 years, it's that *attitude* is the biggest factor in dealing with the changes, successes, and frustrations. I want to help others stay positive for the long haul.
Winning this contest will, I think, give me the opportunity to reach a lot of people. Sure, I'd be proud of that, but the key is to help others.
The winner of the 2024 SilverSneakers Member of the Year contest was announced.
It's Grayling Brown.

Although I didn't win, I want to thank everyone who voted for me, with a special thanks to those who also subscribed to my YouTube channel, "From Recovery to Discovery".

Out of the millions of members, only 300 were nominated, and just to make the final 10 is quite an honor. I'm still surprised I made it that far.
It would have been fun if somebody from my past saw me and said, "I know that guy!"
Then maybe something like...
"Hey, I used to work with that guy!" or
"Hey, I went to school with that guy!" or
"Hey, that guy owes me money!"
(Okay, maybe not that last one.)
I'll keep reaching out with my message of hope & encouragement.
Having a stroke hasn't stopped me, and I hope you keep going through your challenges, too.
Thanks again for your support!
Scott
