My request for a visit was rejected. I have gained some time as I am going to be out of town for about a week. I may have no choice but to go with this doctor. I have actually thought of asking my small town personal doctor who has known me for 20 years if he would step in.

That might be a good idea, but be prepared for him to decline to get personally involved on something outside his specialty. Some will, some won't. Also remember that the final decision is always yours. They can't make you do anything. Three shots in a few weeks is so outside the norm that I personally would demand to know the reasoning behind this, asking any nurse, technician or PA you can get to talk to you. And I would refuse to show up for additional shots without that information. But that's just me. This is not medical advice. Before any of this, however, I would be looking for a second opinion or a different doctor. And as another poster pointed out, your insurance may not cover additional shots so close together. That's another important avenue to explore. Immediately contact your insurance company. They usually have to approve Prolia injections BEFORE they are administered or they may not cover them. Find out if they've been approved or will be approved. Good luck. I hope you get your answers.
