I use a Coloplast Mio Deep Convex one piece drainable pouch. I have tried both ways: with powder and barrier spray and with nothing. My skin does better with rather than without. I change my pouch twice a week. I rarely get any significant leaks.
I have found that warming the pouch to body temperature helps with adhesion.
After fifteen years with an Ileostomy I have found that trying different methods and devices works best. New things and information are always turning up.
