The best close-to-inoculation against dementia is Meaningful friendships. This is what I gleaned from years of researching this field of the epidemic of loneliness...different than solitude which we must cherish to grow into true adulthood, not just accumulating years, which too often happens to lot of us.

I still tirelessly work each day to find those few friends whom I would want to talk, share, listen to, and laugh with, and grieve with. I just found 'Keeping Connected' organization today for phone connection to give it a try. Life is perpetual search...otherwise it may get too boring.
