Hi, the discussion on the Mayo site about that nerve caught my attention. They were looking for a reason for why 20% of the people receiving a tkr have post op pain that lasts a lifetime.

@handball just wondering where the 20% figure comes from? I am one day shy of five weeks. The intense constant pain is something that I was not prepared for. I knew that there would be pain for an extended period but not to this intensity and for it to be 24/7. I suspect nerve pain due the nature of it.
