Will shoe insoles help alleviate discomfort?

I'm wondering if shoe insoles will help with the discomfort of neuropathy. I'm willing to try anything to stay mobile with less pain

My orthopedic doc recommended super feet(Green packaging) from Amazon. I just received them, so I can't yet vouch for them. It's worth a try.

When I visited my sister in California in March she took me to a place called Good Feet. Have you heard of it? I have custom orthotics from Hangar Clinic and they have never helped. Good Feet did the trick! Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and does not try to sell you. Look to see if you have a Good Feet in your area and stop by to see if they can help you.

I have orthotics made by the best orthotic maker for a long distance around. He makes orthotics for Olympic athletes, and for a lot of people who simply need to continue being on their feet and need help - like me. I had Morton's Neuroma, a very painful condition arising from a nerve impingement between the 4th and 5th toe. The lower extremetity physician offered surgery, with the caveat that surgery might not fix the problem. Instead, I went to the local orthotic maker. He immediately knew what a Morton's Neuroma was and how to treat it. The first orthotic didn't totally fix the problem so he adjusted the orthotic and, Bingo! Pain was gone and no surgery. I wear the orthotics in all shoes but sandals. The orthotic has lessened the pressure on the nerves between the 4th and 5th toes so that I can wear sandals in the summer without the pain of a Morton's Neuroma. I do look for shoes with a removable insole so that I can easily slip the orthotics into the shoes. I wear Mary Jane's for winter dress shoes, and they are fitted to be worn with the orthoric. Summer dress shoes are sandals and are worn without the orthotics. Good luck!

BTW: I live in Brooks shoes, made for everyday and for running. Brooksrunning.com. I do not wear running shoes. I wear shoes with more stability than the light weight competitive running shoes. And they do have removeable insoles.

Thanks, I will check Brooks out.

Have your feet X-rayed and MRI done to find out if there's any degenerative issues occurring first.
