Hearing Aid brands: anyone tried Horizon IX hearing aids?

I tried Horizon IX and they have one major flaw. They are dependent on your cell phone. If the volume is too low on your phone your aids can’t work and if your hearing aids stop working for any reason and you take them out of your ears, your cell phone won’t work. Nobody will hear you.

Did you try turning off Bluetooth on your phone? The hearing aid app uses Bluetooth. If the hearing aids died the Bluetooth may not have disconnected.
Bluetooth is not always user friendly. I am testing Horizon now and my audiologist said, because I have an android phone, it’s probably not worth the bother to to disconnect my phone to then connect to my IPad that I use to stream TV.
