Prolia doctor prescribing 2 injections of Prolia in just 3 weeks
This doctor is with UW Madison. I have not seen her but she has all my records & test results, the whole deal. My communications wuth her have been through her staff. She has all my lab work & we had agreed earlier on Prolia but I was very taken aback when she scheduled my first injection for June 19 & what looks to be the second for July 7! I thought they were every 6 months!!11 I know my Dexa score was not good but the only fracture I have had has been in my wrist a year ago which still causes me pain. But I can't get over the feeling that I should not be taking those injections so close together!

@joann1941 what are you doing after Prolia to stop the rebound?
They probably messed up the dates. I wrote a note about my disasppointment at lack of contact with her but got zero response. With my first injection coming up I am looking at alternatives.
I'm so sorry to hear your unfortunate fall leading to fractures. It's great that you started evenity to build some quality bones. I thought it will be nice to have bone markers tested before and during evenity therapy. The btms may tell how years of prolia plus reclast would have any interference on an anabolic, if any, although you had a period of holidays after reclast. Fracture could also affect bone makers, which results in hard-to-interpreting btms. In any case, please keep us posted of your progress.
Best wishes!
That doesn’t sound right, 3 injections in less than a month, your insurance will probably only pay for 1. Be sure you get another opinion because this does not sound right.
I think your idea of a visit followed by an injection at a late date seems very reasonable.
Per the Prolia website dosage is one shot every 6 months.

As mentioned, this seems to be a 'communication glitch' amongst staff.
Good for you to question this.
All the best to you.
Rebound?
With Prolia usually you take a vitamin D supplement and a calcium supplement regularly.
@bobweller when Prolia is stopped, it is well-known and often mentioned by my doctors, videos and books, that there is a risky rebound with bone density possibly even going down to where it was before treatment, and fracture risk abruptly going up. This is because, in simple terms, the cells responsible for bone turnover are suppressed and dormant and come roaring back.
We need to do Reclast (and time the transition with bone markers) to prevent this rebound. I Prolia was only given 2-3 times then Fosamax or other orals might work.
